In my BA thesis, I studied Instagram as a fashion marketing tool in 2016. The project involved designing a statistics-based Instagram photography guide for a Finnish fashion brand R-Collection. The thesis project also included photo production.
The goal was to find the answer to the question of what kind of Instagram photos would be most effective for the marketing needs of a Nordic fashion brand offering leisurewear. The study examined ways to encourage brand followers to like photos and, through improvements, increase the number of followers and the customer base.
